Synopsis:
Welcome to a version of “Journey to the West” that would probably make even Wu Cheng’en blush! This is an extremely bold and humorous approach to a classic work of Chinese literature.
Genjo Sanzo (Tripitaka) is on a sacred mission, traveling toward India to retrieve the holy scriptures. Along the arduous path, he stumbles upon and accidentally releases Goku (Sun Wukong)—a powerful monkey spirit who was once sealed away by the Buddha.
However, this version of the legendary King Monkey is far from a disciplined protector. Driven by an insatiable and “hypersexual” nature, Goku’s primary instinct isn’t just to fight demons, but to satisfy his primal urges. Thus, the unlikely pair begins their journey to the West—a trek filled not only with spiritual challenges but also with intense, carnal encounters as the boundaries of sacred duty and forbidden desire collide.
